You're In the
Right Place If...
You are feeling ready for change, and maybe you've tried to figure out what is causing a feeling of being stuck or suffering.
You may be seeking some assistance to make sense of what has happened to bring you to this point of seeking therapy.
Maybe you have been struggling, are feeling overwhelmed.
You may require someone to simply listen and be with you. Or possibly you are experiencing anxiety or are weighed down by depression.
Perhaps you're navigating a difficult life transition. Maybe you've experienced trauma, and you're ready to reclaim your sense of safety and peace.
Psychotherapy is a form of talk therapy, although it goes deeper. Originating from the Greek word ‘psykhe’, meaning soul, spirit or breath, and therapy from the word ‘therapeia’, translating to healing or medical treatment.
At its core, psychotherapy means to attend to a person as a whole - mind, body and soul. It takes into account that one’s spiritual and mental health is symbiotic. It does not reduce or limit human consciousness to empirical understanding. Dating back to ancient times, psychotherapy is rooted in evidence-based practices, intuitive and philosophical understanding, and has been evolving ever since the birth of psychoanalysis.
It acknowledges that the mind is irreducible. Each person is a new universe to be explored and often purely clinical approaches can fall short in understanding someone’s inner world.
Psychotherapy is a dynamic process contained within the therapeutic relationship, exploring the origins of unconscious patterns and wounds. It involves tracking thoughts and the mind in the moment, simply being present with the client, listening and attuning deeply. Importantly, it encompasses the body and working with the nervous system as a central component of well-being.

What
Clients Say
"There's not many words to express my thanks.."
"There aren't many words to express my thanks, but I got a lot out of our sessions and wanted to let you know that you helped me a lot. I also really appreciated your 'mini interventions' (for lack of a better word) where you understood when I was over-explaining/analysing instead of simply feeling. Each time I found it to be a very useful reminder for me personally, and it helped me to examine that part of myself even more. You facilitated the space very well and quickly got to know me/my needs in that space early on. I'm sure you'll continue to facilitate and adapt to other client's needs and find success in your field, you seem to have a knack for it!"
